THE POWER OF AN IMAGE

HELLO!

Sometimes when we see an image, picture or photograph many ideas come to our minds.

I think that the best images are those that really make us think. That is very important for me because I am a visual person, I like seeing the work of photographers and designers because I think they have the most powerful ways of expression.

For example look at this photograph, it was made by an unknown photographer:

This made me think about when I was smaller  and I hated to have my hair cut but also about now ,that I'm older and how sometimes people force us to do things we don't want to, or how sometimes we do sacrifices to make other people happy.

ACTIVITY-  Answer the following question

What do you think about the picture?

(In your answers, try to use grammar that we studied in class.

We then say that a picture is worth a thousand words, I completely agree with this adage and it expresses the author, an image represents and understand what makes many words sometimes fail.

For example, in my work, I have to present reports, the text is boring and does not say anything, here I use graphical reports as bars or cakes, so my boss when you get this information quickly and includes delivery really pleased that I did.

I agree with you teacher, there are times when people are forcing us to do things we do not want, or also at some point in my life to change my lifestyle just to belong to a group of friends and I change because they asked, and today the same things happen to me and seeing the picture was the first thing that came to mind and why I weep step happening in my life

The power of an image .... I love photography, I like to make collections of photographs, in the pictures we can see many feelings like joy, feelings lonely, sadness, hope, movement and quiet.
As life experience, I want to share a wonderful story that happened to me, I discovered my passion three years ago through a friend who gave me a photography magazine, I liked the pictures and I started researching a photo after another photo, I watched TV, when my dad gave me a camera! wonderful !!! was something I wanted thank my father, there started my life in photography.
Today I have made several works and I participated in competitions at South American level, my goal is to show the world my pictures and meet people's comments.
The important thing is that in every photograph can convey the same feeling that I'm feeling and the person can recognize the important aspects of the moment captured in just milliseconds.

This picture takes me back in time and reminds me that feeling of sadness or anguish I felt when I went to the hairdresser, the helplessness feels to see the stylist, as he cut my hair and I could not do nothing but mourn or better, try I pretended to be asleep not to see me in the mirror.

Later, when studying cosmetology and worked in a hair salon, I realized that it is difficult, cut the hair of a child or anyone and more when it does not wish to be cut the hair, or worse if not satisfied the result. :(

This picture for my way is a representation of a person vulnerable and harmless that under other people's tastes can be because they are superior in terms of job, are your parents, and do not have the right to express what they want, therefore an image expresses a thousand words and that is how to interpret many things in a single image.

This picture brings to me a horrible memory, because my mother had to cut my hair a thousand times, it was so thick; my class mate laughed and told me that it seems like a broom, I cried a lot of times. The last time I had been totally hairless, my teacher had to call my mother because in the whole morning I didn’t keep out my head from my bag, and, when the day was over, I walked all the way to home with the head in to my closed umbrella. Now it’s seems funny, but in this time I want to disappear.

I agree with the teacher because when we were young our parents decide what kind of clothes dedemos use, the haircut, shoes and all, but now that we're older we often find strictest rules tied to a company and some are so drastic that decide our dress, our hair cuts and sometimes manage our time. When I was 12 years old my mom and my dad push me to cut my hair for school and it makes me unhappy because I Love long hair, I think this image shows the restrictions of society for many things: for tattoos for long hair and so many stupid things.

I support the free expression, the things that I mentioned don't make you better o worse person that's what the people have to see everywhere.

This picture reminded me of when I was little, I always had my long hair cut but I want to be fashionable at the time of school.

Then I regretted it all my life and my hair was never the same. there are times when we do things without thinking about what might happen and not size up the consequences of the acts.

In my opinion one of the best forms for we can communicate is the nonverbal language. For example when I saw this picture I thought "Poor baby, she is very angry and very sad". In the picture I could see the feelings of the little.

For another part, the situation I made think in the moments that I had to do things that I don´t wanted because as she, I feel very sad and very very angry.

This picture says a thousand words. Reflects the innocence, sadness, helplessness of the situation in which a child. When we want to say something always does lack reflect it, the words are useless if they are not expressed in the way that sorry. Children are the example of the innocence of the feelings, they say things like the feel and do not have a bias to speak.

I think that it is very important that we have to put pay attention to ideas of our children because they has their personality since they are smaller and we do not to force to do things that they do not want and about the picture, personally I do not like those kind of pictures because I can not stand that a child cries and this picture produce me sadness it breaks my heart i have to admit that it is a photograph very expressive but i do not like.

When we look at a photograph, which you can see in an instant, you could neither explain no a thousand words. Since in this picture there are things that can’t even explain.
The images bring variety of feelings and emotions to our life ...
I see myself reflected in this picture because I think we have all had many fears from small and have forced us to do things we do not want,
But as we grow we understand that those things that we were forced to do for our good.

In this photograph, the kid have a panic attack, because he was had to face a new experience for him, and I know that everyone were felling it something, in the first class day in the school, or the first job, or the first love. It was a new experience in this moment but with other feelings.

I think the picture shows that we are being controlled by a society that imposes what is good and what is bad, wanting to impose the form to dress, to think, to talk, generating a prototype the "good person" believing that is the correct, suppressing our ideas. The little boy is submitted.
For example the people with piercing and tattoos are seen as bad people for express different to most of society.
